Alison helped with all aspects of custom building, furnishing and decorating two homes that I've owned as well as offering advice at my cottage. Alison and I worked with the builders/general contractors and trades and she assisted with adding custom architectural details, choosing finishes and creating a cohesive colour palette. Alison has also assisted with furniture purchases and decor accents in my homes. Alison takes your individual wishes as well as how you and your family use a room and translates that into functional layouts and ideal rooms that truly reflect the owner(s) and how they live. With two small children, my Great Room gets a lot of use but style was not sacrificed and kid friendly surfaces like my wipe clean leather couch and distressed coffee table mean that my entire family can comfortably use the space but that after the kids' toys are put away, I can relax in a room that truly feels stylish and beautiful. Alison is able to take torn out pages from magazines, bookmarked websites and ideas you articulate about what you want and convert all of that into something better than you ever imagined. Alison makes the entire design process from start to finish an enjoyable one and I truly love the luxurious, timeless feel she was able to achieve in my homes.

My husband and I have been working with Alison Habermehl for four and a half years now - from the time our house was framed. She has essentially helped us with all aspects of furnishing and decorating our home. Alison has made this process an enjoyable one and we truly love how our home has turned out.
Alison is able to source and bring pictures of items we may want to purchase or to show us items online but she is also able to shop with us - we have gone to stores in Toronto with her and this has always been time well spent as we have always found and purchased furniture and decorative items. Shopping with Alison is also a learning experience as she is able to explain why something will look good in a room or why something else may not work.

I got exactly what I wanted!
I am a single guy and was having a house built. I sort of knew what I liked, but I was worried that without some help I would choose things that didn't coordinate/go together, or that I would end up with a "man cave". I wanted professional, experienced help to make sure I ended up with a house that reflected my style, was within my budget, wouldn't be "dated" too quickly, and would be attractive to future buyers. Alison gave me exactly that. Alison and team did amazing job of creating plan for our home renovation. They were readily available to spend time understanding our need, style and cultural priorities.
