Styling Day!

We were asked to freshen up a traditional family room in my client's home. The process included painting, re-staining the wood floors, adding new cushions, area rug and custom drapery. We also replaced the fireplace mantle with a stone cast mantel and updated the  cabinetry by removing fussy details and painting it a light putty colour. We are waiting for the mantle and drapery to be installed, so I'll post more pictures soon!  My client was feeling a bit discouraged because her mantle she has been so excited about is on back-order. I decided styling her bookshelves would make her happy in the meantime. And it did.  The shelves are now appointed with beautiful, well edited things, adding a warm, casual feel to the room with an injection of elegance. Exactly what was needed.  [pin text = "Queensdale"]
