Commercial Break

image_1image_12image_6image_2 image_3 image_4 image_5  image_7 image_8image_9image_11It is not our primary work, but sometimes we are asked to design a commercial space; whether an IT company, boutique or hip cafe, it is a refreshing change from residential design.  This particular project in Toronto is part of LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design), which ensures the building is environmentally compatible and provides a healthy work environment.  This doesn't mean boring. After working closely with the facilities and operations manager...okay maybe that sounds boring...we decided to keep the walls white with hits of bright colours reinforcing the corporate branding. Every inch was considered from the new polished concrete floor to the ergonomic furniture from Global. Ultimately, it had to be functional and affordable, but we made sure it would be energizing and inspiring too. I'll post finished pictures on my new website (coming soon)!
